"TUIT" is covered, hinge the elevons on and install your radio and engine in the
normal way. Arrange radio equipment to maintain C.G. without having to add balance
weight.

SET Up
1. Set balance 6 1/2" aft of the leading edge junction of the disc and fuse.

2. Set elevons up to have about 1 1/4" or more of up or down and 1 1/2" aileron.
The ideal setup is when the elevon almost touches the rudder when at full
up and full right or left aileron.

3. If using landing gear, set the gear up to have about 2" of Positive incidence.
The more incidence angle, the Shorter the takeoff roll.

FLYING
First of all, your "TUIT" flys on engine thrust and not lift, so a reliable engine
is a must. Basically, it is a stable engine aiming platform and not an "airplane"
in the usual use of the word. The "TUIT" will fly like any Shoulder wing plane,
takeoff to landing, when flown like a sport plane, but it will do much more, and
I'll tell you how to amaze yourself flying a "TUIT". If you are a novice pilot, use
a .25 FSR and a 9 x 6 propeller. If you are a good pilot, use a .40 FSR and a 10 x
6 propeller. If you are crazy as I am, use a Fox .45 8BRC on 25% nitro and a 9 1/2"
x 6" propeller and the vertical acceleration will be tremendous.

STOL = Full throttle, full up, will rotate in 3-6' and climb at any desired angle.
Do not worry about tip stalls, because if your "TUIT" will rotate, it will fly. A
"TUIT" will land just like a normal plane, but a "TUIT" landing is a hovering stall
onto the ground. Execute by dereasing throttle, and feeding in UP until forward
motion has Slowed to a walk and your "TUIT" is almost hovering, then either Slowly
cut throttle or let off of up elevator and the plane will decend almost vertically.
Vertical decents are the same as landing again, Slow down until you reach full up
stick and then add power to control the rate of decent. With a little practice and
a 10 mph wind, you can actually land moving backwards. This landing Sequence is the
same as a Standstill hover, except you add a little power to hold it in the air.
Because the "TUIT" has no wing tips, it cannot have tip stalls, SO it is Stable to a
dead Stop in the air; it will not stall and spin in like most planes. Instead, your
"TUIT" will just lose elevator effectiveness, which by the way, is easily overcome
with a little power. At low speeds, your "TUIT" will do loops in a 6-8' circle at
miedium throttle. I find a wide, fun performance envelope in the low to medium Speed
range. Anybody can fly fast, but a "TUIT" will amaze you with its low speed
predictability and responsiveness.
